Acceptable Use Policy

What you can and cannot do with Gremlin Labs services, including prohibited content, restricted use cases, and AI-specific limits.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the services, AI tools, and platform provided by Gremlin Labs LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") at https://gremlinlabs.ai (the "Service"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to create, store, transmit, or distribute content that:

  • Is illegal under any applicable local, state, federal, or international law.
  • Is sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic.
  • Depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, or harm to others.
  • Is defamatory, libelous, or fraudulent.
  • Harasses, threatens, or intimidates any individual or group.
  • Promotes discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
  • Constitutes spam, phishing, or unsolicited commercial communications.
  • Violates the privacy or personal data rights of any individual.

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
  • Impersonate any person, organization, or entity.
  • Generate disinformation, fake news, or deliberately misleading content intended to deceive.
  • Create deepfakes, synthetic media, or AI-generated content designed to deceive without clear disclosure.
  • Develop, train, or improve any competing AI model, product, or service using our outputs.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features or access controls.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorization.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code.
  • Engage in denial-of-service attacks or any activity that disrupts or degrades the Service.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from the Service without written permission.
  • Conduct any activity that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

4. Restricted Industries and Use Cases

The Service may not be used for:

  • Weapons development or military applications.
  • Surveillance, tracking, or monitoring of individuals without their knowledge and consent.
  • Generation of content targeting minors in any sexual, exploitative, or inappropriate manner.
  • Generating legal, medical, financial, or professional advice intended to replace qualified professionals without appropriate disclaimers.
  • Any application where failure of AI output could result in death, personal injury, or significant property damage.

5. AI-Specific Restrictions

Given the nature of our AI Tools, you specifically agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate content designed to manipulate elections, voting behavior, or democratic processes.
  • Use AI outputs as the sole basis for decisions that significantly affect an individual's legal rights, employment, credit, or housing. AI outputs should be one input among others, reviewed by a qualified human decision-maker.
  • Represent AI-generated content as human-created without appropriate disclosure.
  • Use our Service to build or enhance surveillance systems, facial recognition databases, or social scoring systems.

6. Responsibility for User Content

You are solely responsible for all content you input into the Service and all outputs you generate. We do not pre-screen content, but we reserve the right to review, remove, or act upon any content that violates this AUP.

7. Reporting Violations

If you believe someone is violating this AUP, please report it to us at:

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

8. Enforcement

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP.
  • Remove or disable access to any content that violates this AUP.
  • Report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
  • Seek legal remedies for violations that cause harm to us or others.

Termination for AUP violations does not entitle you to a refund.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of the Service after updates are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
